Family Session at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park

When Jessica first reached out to me, I was super excited. I’m super excited to work with all my clients but Jessica was the first since COVID-19 showed its ugly head. This year didn’t start out how I imagined it would. It didn’t start out how anyone imagined it would. But when I got that first inquiry, it was like hope was returning and showing that we were getting through this pandemic.

Working with Jessica was a dream. From the get-go things just fell into place and when the time for her and her family’s session came it was like I was meeting a friend. Normally, I’m a little nervous before every session I do. But from the moment I met Jessica and her family all nervousness went away. What a sweet family is really all I have to say.

Though we had a few short showers during our session, that didn’t stop us from getting great photos. Taking a break during the rain just allowed me to get to know them better.

I’m really thankful for the opportunity to have met this family. Seeing family together (including extended family) makes me so happy. My family is all spread out but when we are together it’s the best thing. I know I have said it before but I really do love taking pictures of families so that they can look back on the memories they have had and smile.
