I met Kiki back in 2012 through Craigslist. I was searching for a place to live and I ended up renting from her. From this point on many adventures have taken place. Multiple Moab camping trips, late night paintings, good food made, parties for any given reason, BBQ get-togethers, surprise trips out-of-state, Thanksgiving dinners, backpacking trip, etc.
In 2015 I got my eviction notice. Rightfully so, as Ed had found Kiki and they were getting married in the upcoming months. Not soon after their news did I also become engaged. We ended up planning our weddings on the same weekend in October. We didn’t organize it to be that way it just worked out the best for each of us for different reasons. We made the most of the situation though. If you know either of us, we are always looking for ways to save money. When we had opportunity, we would split the cost of something we both needed in our weddings. Who doesn’t like saving money, right?
Fast forward to 2017. I learned that Kiki and Ed were moving and they were looking in my town, YAY! They were only 20 minutes away to begin with. However, they happened to find a house only 1/2 mile away from me and moved in 2018. I couldn’t have been happier.
May of 2018 comes and I have my first kid. Several months later I find out that Kiki and Ed are going to have a child and I’m ecstatic. Now it is 2019 and that little human has arrived and is completely adorable.
Doing life with these guys has been a lot of fun. Life has changed drastically for both of us since 2012, but I wouldn’t change anything about it. Kiki and Ed’s friendship to John and myself has been such a blessing. I look forward to the many more adventures with our littles ones in tow.
