It has been pretty windy in Colorado this year. More so than usual. Thankfully, the day of these Apple Orchard Mini Sessions at Ya Ya Orchard in Longmont, CO only a lovely, gentle breeze greeted us. In addition to the perfect weather, every family I photographed looked amazing as usual! Not only that, but the scenery at the orchard was ideal. With fields of open grass, mountains in the horizon, and trees in bloom all around, it was truly a picturesque location.

With the sun high above us providing a wonderful glow, I captured each family as they hugged, tickled, and played with their kids. I love watching each family interact. Seeing the smiles and laughter spread to each member of the family, as the parents walked together swinging their kid in between, or when a tickle fight broke out! All the kids did great! Ya Ya Orchard had ample room for them to run and get any wiggles out! With every family session, I always want the kids to have fun! When they are laughing and having fun, I can best capture their personality! I was also struck by how great every family looked! They were all styled wonderfully with coordinating outfits!

I am so thrilled to finally be able to say, “Spring is here”! Coming out of winter and into spring always brings me so much joy. I love seeing the blossoms on the trees and the green grass, hearing the birds chirp, and enjoying pleasant temperatures everyday. It makes everything perfect.
The orchard is a beautiful and fun place to visit anytime of year! My kids love coming here. There are donkeys and horses they love to pet, as well as ducks and peacocks to see! The best time of year, however, might be in the fall! Every autumn a little store opens up to sell their delicious apple cider donuts, which are the BEST! You can even sign up on their website to pick your own apples, which is always a fun family activity! If you are local to the Longmont area, then definitely check this place out!
