These delightful mini sessions went smoothly thanks to all the fantastic families I had the pleasure of working with. The autumn weather cooperated perfectly and allowed me to capture these eye-catching outdoor family portraits right here in beautiful Longmont, Colorado. These Golden Ponds fall minis bring out the vibrant colors of the trees along with the lovely scenery the pond provides.
Outdoor Golden Ponds Fall Minis
Mini sessions can be a great option for families with children, not just because of the price point but also because of time frame. It provides enough time for me as the photographer to be able to capture a lot of different poses and family combinations, but young kids only have to engage for a maximum of 15 minutes. And within those 15 minutes I don’t need them to pose the entire time. As a seasoned photographer, I can switch gears to capture those spontaneous moments between kids and their parents, ensuring not only visually appealing shots for your wall but also entirely natural moments, often without the kiddos even realizing I’m at work.

Even if you think your child is a bundle of energy and more playful than most, I embrace that wholeheartedly in my photography. Capturing kids in their element is my specialty. With kids of my own, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks to keep them on point and even engage them in the process. My goal for sharing how I capture moments with young children is to set your mind at ease so that you can get the most out of your session and know that these authentic moments you are sharing as a family are reflective of their wonderful personalities. In fact, that is what makes your family’s story truly unique. After all, it’s these genuine moments that make your family’s narrative special and memorable.
