It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Can you even read that without singing it?! Since it is finally December, we have full permission to blast those Christmas classics and put up the tree. Although no shame if you’ve already done that! These 15 families were certainly ready to kick off this holiday season with red truck Christmas minis.

Have you ever noticed that people generally tend be in a good mood and have high spirits this time of year? I feel as though that was true of every family that came to these mini sessions. Snow was still on the ground from a previous storm, which made the perfect backdrop for these red truck Christmas minis. The real bonus was that the temperature wasn’t all that cold. The kids seemed to enjoy this set, and even the pets cooperated. A Christmas miracle!

My goal for this shoot was to capture the magic of this season in every photo I took. The bright red truck and Christmas décor make for the perfect Christmas card. Getting Christmas cards from many of my friends, family, and especially my clients is definitely one of my favorite holiday traditions.
While I know the holidays can be stressful and hard for various reasons, we also have so much to be grateful for. I am looking forward to baking cookies, putting up lights, and opening presents with my kids. These are memories in the making that I don’t ever want to forget. However, I always try and focus on why I do these things and why they mean so much—by remembering the true reason for the season.
