Do you remember your senior year of high school? It’s a year full of promise, with so much on the horizon. Like the saying goes, you have your whole life ahead of you. There is a lot to think about in terms of where to go for college and what type of career you’d like to pursue. It’s oddly also the end of an era. It’s the time when all your friends go their separate ways for college, and things are never quite the same as they were. This special Colorado Springs senior session, beautifully captured by my associate at Red Rocks Open Space, commemorates the journey beyond high school, embracing growth and new beginnings.
Outdoor Fall Colorado Springs Senior Session
Jill was a fun client to work with. During her session, Jill was full of youthful energy and innocence, and was willing to try different poses. A senior session is different from a family session in that there is only one subject being photographed. A family session includes more people, so there are many different combinations and poses to pull from. The enjoyable aspect about photographing seniors such as Jill is that they have a chance to be unique and authentically themselves. They can choose the setting, their outfit, props, tailoring the session to truly reflect their personality. We also have many suggestions in all these areas to help create the perfect senior session for each person.

It’s a very special time of life being a senior. A tip for booking senior photos is to get on a photographer’s schedule by late summer. Oftentimes, yearbooks will require seniors to have photos submitted by October. For this reason, it is best to be on top of booking, especially since autumn is a photographer’s busy season.
Jill, congratulations on this major accomplishment in your life. We are rooting for you and wish you all the best from those of us at Catherine Chamberlain Photography.
