I’m so excited to share this GoldenPonds maternity session with you today! When the Amanda reached out about maternity photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! I met Amanda and Tyler last fall when they signed up for my Fall Family Mini Sessions. Their little girl, Gracie, is just the sweetest and we had a blast in our short time together back in October. I knew that this session would be just as fun. There’s something so special about maternity sessions. Having images to look back on the short season of life that one is in when pregnant allows you to recall those sweet moments more easily.
Golden Ponds Maternity Session
I couldn’t have asked for a better day. This was our second attempt to meet up as the first attempt the weather just wasn’t cooperating and we had to reschedule. Boy, am I glad we did. This day was gorgeous! The temperature was perfect, the light was incredible as you will see in the pictures below. It was worth the effort of trying to find a new date that worked for both of us. Shooting at Golden Ponds in Longmont never disappoints. You have water, trees, tall grasses, bridges and walking paths to give a different feel in the pictures. I love having variety to work with.
One of my favorite parts of the whole shoot was getting to connect with Gracie. She is such a cutie. I loved getting her to laugh and smile and by the end of the session all she wanted to do was hold my hand as we walked back to our cars. I melted. I know she will be an amazing big sister.
Gracie was amazing the whole time but she also had her own ideas and plans. In a few of the shots we had to get creative. For instance, when I wanted a few shots of just mom and dad, I would ask Gracie to run to me as fast as she could. She loved that idea and it resulted in really cute pictures. By the time she got to me I was able to capture a few of mom and dad before she could make it back to them.
Amanda and Tyler, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you again this summer when I get to meet your new little baby.
