To say I’m excited to share this newborn session with you today is an understatement! Why, you may ask? It’s because this child has long been prayed for and she has finally made her debut. When the Andrea asked if I would be willing to capture their little girl for newborn photos of course I said yes.

If you have been following my blog for any length of time you will quickly realize that I have been a part of this family’s journey from the start and it has been so fun. When I was first starting out in photography, I took their anniversary photos (click HERE to see them). Last year they told me that they were pregnant and wondered if I would capture their announcement photos. I couldn’t have been more excited for this news and was over the moon to do this for them (see that blog HERE). Then, a few months ago, Andrea and Kris and I went up to Estes Park, CO to take their maternity photos with the beautiful mountain backdrop. It was gorgeous! Andrea wore a maternity gown which was amazing against the dramatic mountain backdrop (definitely check out that blog by clicking HERE).

And now I just had the privilege to capture their sweet little girl.

Johnstown, CO Newborn Session

This session took place at Kris and Andrea’s home in Johnstown, CO. Since Kris and Andrea are close friends of mine I brought my own two little ones with me to hang out. Both Andrea and Kris have always loved on my kids so much and in return my kids love to be with them.

It was nice to finally meet Rylie, their little girl. She is so adorable. I was amazed at the full head of hair that little girl has. Taking her photos was fun. As with newborns there are always interruptions that you plan for. They get hungry and need to nurse or just need to be held for a little bit before you start taking pictures again. Rylie was no different. She did amazing and slept for part of the session and was awake for part of the session. She was a champ through it all and we captured some really sweet memories for the Kris and Andrea to cherish forever.

Andrea and Kris, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and I am forever grateful for our friendship and for the fact that you have trusted me to capture your journey. Thank you!

Enjoy this little peek into this sweet newborn session!
