Capturing the Coffman family for their In-Home Newborn and Family Session in Erie, CO was an absolute delight! I met the family through a mutual friend who referred me, which is always the biggest compliment! The session ended up being last minute, but I was thrilled that we were able to schedule a time that worked for both of us during my busy season and capture this sweet new family of four!
In-Home Newborn and Family Lifestyle Session
From the time I walked into the Coffmans’ home until the moment I said goodbye, it was like hanging out with friends, even though we had just met. They were so kind and welcoming. The session flew by. Their precious newborn girl was a dream! I loved capturing the tender moments as they held their baby girl swaddled in her gorgeous floral printed blanket.
Big brother was such a sweet and doting brother! He was also a blast to hang out with and photograph. He and dad shared a lot of laughs as they played around in between shots. I love the action shots I grabbed of dad throwing him up in the air as he wore a huge smile on his face!
In-home sessions are amazing for families with newborns, as you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home and worry about packing everything and the kitchen sink for those “just in case” moments that happen with newborns. They allow moms and dads to relax and enjoy their family as I document all the candid moments that occur.
The Nursery
Another reason I love in-home newborn sessions is being able to see and photograph all the beautiful nurseries! Parents pour so much love into the planning and decorating of these special rooms, which is why I believe documenting the details and those special items that make up a nursery are so important. This sweet little girl’s room was gorgeous! All the delicate, feminine flowers and signs on the wall were so perfectly placed. My favorite item, however, is the white shelf that houses a few special stuffed animals, a pop of greenery, and her amazing headband collection! A girl can never have too many hair accessories!
This In-Home Newborn and Family Session was amazing, and I had the greatest time getting to know the Coffman family! It was an honor to photograph such an intimate and special moment in time for this family of four.
