Life is an adventure. It always has been for me. Starting a family has been one of the best adventures yet. This little kid brings my husband and I so much joy. Her laugher is infectious. Her smile is contagious. She has taught us a lot.
Life is not about serving yourself. It’s about helping and serving others. That’s where, I believe, true joy comes from. By having a baby in house my husband and I are constantly reminded that selfishness needs to die. We can’t ignore her when she is hungry, crying, or just needing to be held. It doesn’t matter what is happening in our life at that moment; all of that gets pushed to the side as we tend to the needs of this little one. It is worth it? Some, I’m sure, would disagree but I think it is 110% worth it. She brings us joy beyond what we have experienced in the past.
I cannot wait to see what life brings us as she grows and matures. There will be ups and downs for sure but it’s still an adventure. It’s all about how you look at it. I look forward to continuing this adventure.
