When was the last time you held a newborn in your arms? Whether it was your own or even someone else’s, it’s hard not to notice the little details. The dimples in their tiny fingers, the little rolls on their arms, and the cutest toes you’ve ever seen (probably the only time we’d describe toes as cute). Even their smell is memorable. It’s nearly impossible to ignore what a miracle all babies are. The newborn in this photoshoot was no exception. She was an absolute angel. What a blessing she is to this family. The Peterson Family newborn session was extra special to me personally because they are good friends of our family.

I’ve had the privilege of being able to photograph this family several times now. We’ve done family photos as a family of three and most recently maternity photos at Ya Ya Orchard here in Longmont, Colorado. As a new little family, there will be many adventures together ahead of them. I’m personally looking forward to being able to make memories with them, and I’m so happy our kids can grow up together. I feel like making friends in your 30s is quite the feat, so to have found such a quality family to be able to spend time with is a huge blessing at this stage in my life.
