As we are coming off of Mother’s Day weekend, I wanted to take a moment to recognize all the wonderful moms out there! Being a mom is the hardest job in the world, but the most rewarding! As a family photographer, I see moms all the time pouring their love out onto their kids. This year I was thrilled to offer Sugarhill Studio Mommy + Me Minis and treat some deserving moms!
Sugarhill Studio Mommy + Me Minis
The local studio I work with, Sugarhill Studio, in Longmont, CO never ceases to amaze me with their lovely, beautiful backdrops. The set for these Mommy + Me Minis featured a flower wall done by a local floral company, Compass Rose Floral. It was gorgeous and the perfect setting to capture moms with their children.
I also really wanted to pamper the moms, so I partnered with Brooke Callaway to offer hair and makeup to all the moms! Motherhood is hard! Moms do so much behind the scenes that goes unseen. They deserve to be pampered; however, I know from my own experience, that most moms don’t take the time to treat themselves. Needless to say, I was super excited when Brooke said she would love to help out and treat the moms to hair and makeup touch ups prior to each session. Each mom had the option for hair touch ups, a braid, lip color, or cheek contour, even lashes.
On the day of the mini sessions, things couldn’t have gone smoother. Each mom looked radiant after Brooke did her magic. The kids were all so happy and cooperative, which made for a super fun and fulfilling Mommy + Me session. Typically, moms are the ones behind the camera documenting all the fun memories of childhood, so I love switching it up and getting mom in the picture. I know how much each mom will treasure these moments with their kids!
