This musical themed newborn session was a joy to capture. Every member of the family found themselves obsessed with their newest arrival. This lovely family opened up their bright home for light and airy indoor newborn photos. Their home was cozy and inviting, and what made the session extra special was the guitar we incorporated—the absolute perfect prop for this family.

I’m always happy to incorporate any prop requested. Sometimes it’s a special blanket that used to be mom’s when she was a baby, or even a special outfit. Sometimes it’s more elaborate like a motorcycle (link HERE) or a musical instrument like the guitar used this session. It was fun working with the family trying to figure out the best way to capture what they desired.
Light and Airy Musical Themed Newborn Session
Newborn sessions move at a slow pace. Generally speaking, I start with family photos with anyone present and get all the different combinations. Then I’ll move into baby only photos. This is where I will capture all the little features and get all the fun cute poses of the newborn. It’s important to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, allowing the family to bond with their newest member while I preserve these fleeting moments through my lens. It’s truly a privilege to be entrusted with capturing the beauty and innocence of a newborn, and I cherish every opportunity to create timeless memories for families to treasure for years to come.
