I recently saw a quote that made me pause, it said, “Fall is proof that change is beautiful.” This season does bring a lot of change. It marks the end of summer and closes the book on that chapter; and it also reminds us that the busy holiday season is right around the corner. It’s a time to get back into our normal routines, and embrace that change is inevitable. There’s so much to love about this time of year—from the changing colors and cooler weather; it makes it ideal for capturing memories, and that is exactly what we did during these outdoor fall mini sessions, taken at the South Mesa Trailhead in Boulder, Colorado.

As nature transforms from its vibrant greens to electric reds, oranges, and yellows, this allows us to pause and consider the new, colorful fall backdrops available for taking photos. An important aspect to consider is how styling affects the final look of the pictures taken. Some people choose to showcase a bolder color palette, while others intentionally select softer colors and patterns.
