Golden Ponds Winter Maternity Session in Longmont CO | The Williams Family

I recently had the honor of capturing the Williams Family Golden Ponds Winter Maternity Session in Longmont, CO.  Another photographer friend reached out to ask me if I was available to capture Brandon and his wife, Michel, for their maternity session.  Unfortunately, my friend was unable to photograph their session as planned due the horrible Marshal Fire that swept through the Boulder area, destroying over 1,000 homes. At the time she reached out, it was unclear if she would be needed to help deal with the aftermath of the fire at her parent’s home. 

 I happily agreed to capture Brandon and Michel for their winter maternity shoot, and I am so glad I did! From the moment we met, it was like getting together with old friends! We had the greatest time chatting! I discovered that Brandon had gone to grade school with my husband. (What a small world!?) I also learned all about how Brandon met Michel in the Pacific Northwest. Now they are here and eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child, a sweet baby girl!  

Winter Maternity Session at Golden Ponds

Both of them were troopers out in the cold, winter wonderland! Michel was always willing to do whatever she needed to get the shot.  She looked absolutely radiant!  Her outfit, nails, and hair were all gorgeous! Her bright red dress and lipstick were the perfect pop of color against the blanket of white snow that painted the background. 

I am so excited for these two, and am thrilled I was able to capture the beginning of this new chapter for them. Entering the world of parenthood is a huge life event! The maternity stage is a fleeting and special moment. Sometimes in the excitement of wanting to meet your new bundle of joy, and the anxiousness over the hows and the whens, we forget to slow down and enjoy the moment. That is exactly why I love documenting these moments for couples. 

Congratulations, Brandon and Michel. Your little girl is already so lucky to have you both!
