In December, I traveled to the Jim Hamm Nature Area in Longmont, CO to capture the Boulder Twins Club Mini Sessions! Gina contacted me from the Boulder Twins Club to see if I was interested in capturing mini sessions as a fundraiser for the Club! I was thrilled to be able to capture these moments for all of these beautiful families of multiples!
Before our sessions, I talked with Gina to learn more about the club. She informed me that the full name of the club is the Boulder County Parents of Twins and More Club! It is a non-profit organization, associated with the National association of Multiples of America. This amazing club, “supports families with multiples from pregnancy to teenagers.”
Gina also explained the many support systems in place for parents of twins and multiples, “such as meal trains, a big sister program, NICU support, weekly gatherings for expecting and new parents to help each other and ask questions of other parents. We have monthly get-togethers for the club in various age groups. We also hold a semi-annual kids sale which has been our main fundraiser for about 40 years.”
What an amazing club and resource for parents of multiples!
Boulder Twins Club Mini Sessions
I was so excited to meet all the wonderful families who are members of this amazing organization! We had a great time at the Jim Hamm Nature Area. The weather started out pleasant and sunny. However, it took a turn half way through photographing my second family, as a major windstorm kicked up! The wind was insane! The temperature, which started out at a comfortable 66, dropped down to 34! It was very challenging to work through the whipping wind, but all the families did incredible! Not only did the kids do great, but we were able to capture many wonderful images of these beautiful and amazing families!
It was such an honor to capture these mini sessions for the families and support an organization that does so much to support its members!
