As a family photographer, capturing the big and small moments of life is so important to me. I love capturing families together and enjoying life. I think it is even more important to capture the moments when extended family gathers together. As families grow and spread out, it inevitably gets harder to get everyone together. However, when those moments do happen, it is special and should be documented. I was thrilled when this beautiful family reached out to me about an extended family session. With family visiting Colorado from the midwest, it was the perfect time to photograph everyone together! Their scenic Dillon, CO extended family session turned out beautifully!

Since they were visiting a place known for its majestic mountain views, they really wanted to make sure there was a beautiful mountain backdrop! We found the absolute best spot at the bottom of a stunning mountain surrounded by lush greenery. Everything cooperated the day of their session! The weather was perfect, all the children did great, and everyone in the family was incredibly kind and easy to work with! I loved seeing all the cousins together. We were able to capture many combination group shots, as well as individual family shots. The family impressed me with how well all their outfits worked together! They did a great job styling and picking outfits for everyone in the family to wear!
The pictures from this scenic family session in Dillon are gorgeous. It brings me so much joy to know that these stunning images will adorn the walls of their family homes. Each time they pass by the images, memories will surface of the time the whole family was together and visiting the mountains in Colorado!
