This beautiful maternity session at Sprague Lake and Moraine Park was a joy to capture. When Christine reached out to me about working with them, I was elated because I personally know this couple. Maternity sessions are always a very special season of life to photograph, and this was no exception. Christine is a radiant mother-to-be with a very supportive husband by her side. They truly cannot wait to meet their little one!
Moraine Park Maternity Session
We were rained out not once—but twice! However, the third attempt at this session was truly a success. It was a beautiful fall evening, and her blue dress complimented the scenery beautifully. The Rileys are a very fun and easy-going couple, so anytime I made a suggestion they would oblige and were extremely happy about everything. I even suggested moving to another spot, which they were absolutely up for the adventure.
Maternity Session at Sprague Lake
Next, we ventured over to Sprague Lake. Christine’s red dress was the perfect accessory to this picture-perfect fall background. The gorgeous autumn colors and perfectly still water made for great reflections. The yellow aspen trees showcased Colorado’s vibrant fall season in the most stunning way.
The Rileys were friends I met when I first moved out to Colorado in 2012. I consider myself blessed to be able to witness them grow as a couple and now add to their family.
Believe it or not…it was also their wedding anniversary on the day of the shoot. I don’t know if they envisioned spending their anniversary that way, but they sure made the most of it. While wedding anniversaries are usually about reminiscing, I know they’ll reflect back on this day in time and remember the anticipation of the fun adventure that awaits them.
Enjoy this little peek in this sweet maternity session!
Here are a few more families that I’ve had the honor of photographing!
